finally inspired to quilt again

Why does it always seem that a big event in life makes me want to quilt? Daughter #2 went to her first prom ,daughter #1 went away for and "Adult" weekend with friends .....so to save myself from stress about life with kids growning up i just decided to get insprired again......well start anyway by cleaning sewing area. look for me come around in about a month or so......i should be creeping out of the piles by then.......

survival of children leaving the nest ......even for a short time

Just a quick note about separtion . IT really does make you appreciate the time you have with your kids. I did a lot of hand work while my youngest went to Washingiton DC with her group from school. I am putting binding on my hawiian quilt and my poppy wall hanging.

Finally spring is here

I think spring may finally be here to stay. It was opening of fishing here in Minnesota this last weekend . I started playing in the dirt for my garden .......or should i say weed bed. I found some neat flowers my neighbor had given me and forgotten about. I will take pics of them when they are blossoming.Should make a great idea for quilts. Life is just spinning out of control these days with kids graduating ,learning to drive and making thier way out into the real world. I hope that i have prepared them to be able to survive. But its up to them .
