Finally spring is here
I think spring may finally be here to stay. It was opening of fishing here in Minnesota this last weekend . I started playing in the dirt for my garden .......or should i say weed bed. I found some neat flowers my neighbor had given me and forgotten about. I will take pics of them when they are blossoming.Should make a great idea for quilts. Life is just spinning out of control these days with kids graduating ,learning to drive and making thier way out into the real world. I hope that i have prepared them to be able to survive. But its up to them .

Quilting update
I have finally finished my sweater i have been working on for the last few months. What an accomplishment. I did however learn that i need to make things like that a little longer for my body . oh well ! i will do better on next one. I am making great progress on a hawiian quilt i am hand quilting only two more squares to go. My goal for the year is to clean up and finish quilts that have been hanging aroudn for long time . Even if idont particularly care for them. Those can be used for presents to friends and relatives. or even donated to charitys.

spring swap
I finally got to open the package that has been taunting me on my sewing table.
I have recieved a wonderfully appliqued batik tulip wall hanging from one of my quiltchat buddies sweet jessy. she also made me a wonderful little tote. itsbeing filed with fqs as fast as it sits on my table. I had so much fun making my wall hanging . I am bound and determined to get my UFOs under control this summer and make a huge dent in my stash.
